UNJURY Protein Supplement

UNJURY Post-op Diets and Tips

UNJURY Fun Recipes

Unjury has graciously provided us with some fun recipes for using their protein supplement.  Everybody loves specialty coffee...especially chocolate favor!  Now you can have your coffee recharge with a big healthy protein boost too.  It's perfect for people that are looking for a positive reason to drink coffee.  If you can't have caffeine, how about a Chai Tea protein boost?  You can even add protein to your favorite Jell-O or Pudding treats.

Use Sugar-Free Jell-O, 4 servings package, any flavor
Follow package directions for dissolving Sugar-Free Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water.

Caution: Some of the "Fun Recipes" that include solid foods should not be used during the first week after surgery.  They should only be used after the first post-op week.

SMOOTHIE TIPS

Skim Milk Ice Cubes: For a richer frosty-cold drink, substitute frozen skim milk ice cubes (just freeze them in your ice cube tray) for some of the skim milk.  For example, use ½ cup of frozen cubes and ½ cup skim milk in your recipe instead of a cup of skim milk. Blend in a blender until smooth.

Frozen Fruit: Use frozen fruit instead of fresh for a cold fruit slushy drink.

Add Peanut Butter: Add a couple of teaspoons of low-sugar peanut butter to the Chocolate or Vanilla Protuccino.  Blend until smooth.

Or, Add Banana:  Add ¼ banana to Chocolate or Vanilla Protuccino.

(Note: 1 scoop = 1 packet)

Caution: Some of the "Fun Recipes" that include solid foods should not be used during the first week after surgery.  They should only be used after the first post-op week.

NOTICE:  The lap band is considered major surgery, with all the risks of surgery, including the possibility of tubing breaks, port flips, band slips, erosion, and even death.  While these risks are small, they are real.
